The Deben Players Christmas pantomime this year is Aladdin, written by Simon Dodwell and directed by David Crane.

Get transported to the mystical orient and visit the town of Watapong where the evil (and ugly) Abanazar needs the help of our hero, Aladdin, to retrieve the magic Lamp from the Cave of Wonders. You will meet Aladdin’s mother, the notorious Widow Twanky, and his dim, lazy brother Wishee Washee.
Follow Aladdin’s forbidden romance with Princess Jasmine and the capers of three bumbling policemen. With a strict father and two magical genies you have the recipe for disaster!
The show promises great music, hilarious slapstick and a large amount of interaction with the audience. This pantomime surely is entertainment for all the family.
“Aladdin” is presented at the Seckford Theatre, Woodbridge School from Thursday 23rd December 2011 to Monday 2nd January 2012. Check the website at www.debenplayers.org.uk for performance dates and times.
